Remote monitoring

CEMCP
ROSATOM

Remote monitoring of capital construction projects is an innovative tool for managing and controlling the implementation of Rosatom's capital investment projects in Russia and overseas.

Introduction of complex remote monitoring tools during construction of the Kursk NPP-2 and Rooppur NPP (Bangladesh), where satellite and drone surveys were tested in 2020, has shown its effectiveness in optimizing of construction costs and deadlines. In 2021, remote monitoring was introduced at the MFRR construction project. In 2022, this tool was introduced at the BREST-OD-300 construction project. In 2023, it is planned to introduce it at construction of the El Dabaa NPP and the Akkyuy NPP.

Remote monitoring technologies

  • Monitoring of the dynamics of construction works (change of elevations)

  • Monitoring of construction and installation works carried out inside buildings and structures

  • Processing of remote monitoring deliverables

  • Monitoring of compliance to the sequence and composition of performed process operations

  • Filling in with actual data of the project BIM model

  • Image map of the construction site

  • Monitoring of compliance of location of buildings and structures with the design documentation (master plan)

  • Identification of deviations from the design position of completed assembled structures and definition of equipment position

  • Digital terrain model

  • Visualization of dynamics of construction works, availability of equipment and personnel

  • Quantity estimate and control (earthworks)

  • Result:

Management decisions based on visualized analytical reports on the project progress.
